The Beatles’ Final Song

The two remaining Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have finished recording a song in which all four Beatles can be heard.

The song includes the voice of John Lennon, who was murdered in 1980.

It was Lennon who wrote and recorded the song “Now and Then” in the 1970s, after the Beatles had broken up. However it was never released. Now McCartney and Starr have finally finished the song, over four decades later.

McCartney, Starr and Harrison worked on the song in the 1990s but at that time could not mix in Lennon’s voice and piano playing. New technology has now helped produce the original voice of John Lennon. The song also uses new guitar recordings by George Harrison, who died in 2001.
