Bobi, the world’s oldest dog, has died at the age of 31.
Normally dogs can live up to 15 years, but Bobi lived twice as long.
In February 2023, the Guiness Book of Records stated that Bobi was the longest living dog in recorded history. Before that, an Australian cattle dog had lived for 29 years.
Bobi lived with his family in Portugal for three decades. There he had a calm life in the countryside and ate human food that wasn’t seasoned.
However, Bobi almost when he was a puppy. Leonel Costa, whom Bobi belonged to, said that the dog was born in a wood shed. His parents had decided that they already had too many dogs and wanted to bury him alive. Bobi escaped and Lionel hid him from his parents .
