Women in Protest Against Iran

Women around the world are protesting against the Iranian government. The demonstrations began after Mahsa Amini, a Kurdish woman, died after she had been arrested by Iran’s morality police.

Amini was tortured and beaten to death because she refused to cover her hair with a headscarf.

In the past days, women all over the world, including many celebrities, have been cutting their hair as a sign of protest. Even a member of the European Parliament cut her hair during a speech she made.
